When people start having yoga practices, most of the times, they are having something on their mind starting from getting rid of the boredom or anxiety or lose some weight or get motivation. Whatever it is, people always have a goal and they usually do a lot of things to reach their goal (not in all of the cases, of course). However, before that you should have a vivid idea of what you wish and where you go. These 5 questions and their answers will help you understand what you really want and what you should do for getting it.

  1. Do you have problems in relationship?

Problems in relationship are very often being the result for starting yoga practices. In general, going deep into this and trying to find out the reason you have decided to start yoga practices is essential. So, if you came to the conclusion that your reason is having some problems in relationship, take into account all of the cases. First, if you are having some problems with your second half, but feel like something disturbs you, instead of just running away from it and doing yoga alone, choose the yoga together. This will help you better understand each other. Who knows, maybe all of your problems will get their solutions, when you just forget about them for couple of minutes or hours and only practice yoga?

  1. Are you trying to run away from your problems?

Yoga is always there for your problems, stress and any other things you will need to have a rest from. However, it is important to know that running away from your problems will not really help you here. Besides, yoga is not there for letting you escape the problems, but, after having some rest, finding solutions to them. Sooner or later you will have to cope with them, so when answering this question before starting your practice, be as honest as you can (with yourself).

  1. Do you REALLY want it, or just were thought that you SHOULD do that?

Obviously, you will need to get someone’s recommendation or read some great articles about yoga, to think about starting it. However, if you feel like you really don’t want to get into it, that’s okay. Don’t start it and continually go into just because others are doing or because you have to. Yoga doesn’t love HAVEs, you should like it and love it. So, no must have-s please.

  1. Do you have a special goal in mind?

Make sure to ask yourself whether besides relaxing you want to get something more from yoga. Do you take yoga as an alternative for fitness? That’s great. Choose some more yoga poses, even make them more difficult and have your workout. However, in order to reach your goal, you actually need to know what it is. So clear that up before starting the practice.

  1. Do you feel giving up?

If you feel like you are in the period of your life when you just want to let everything go and give up, yoga is your solution. If your answer to this question is Yes, then don’t lose much time on thinking more. This question is one of the questions that helps you come to the conclusion more effectively than anything else. Whatever happened in your life, we hope that yoga will help you and will bring you to another page of your life. It will give enough strength for continuing your way and not giving up.

These questions seem to be easily answered: you just say to them yes or no, and then it is ready. However, they are also very effective, and if you are still hesitating whether or not to start practicing yoga, those questions will help you come to a final conclusion. Hope your answers will be honest. Namaste!
