ARE INTRAPRENEURS LIKE ENTREPRENEURS OR NO ?

Today’s topic of discussion is a really very interesting one just because people it is also a very controversial one. In order to understand whether the intrapreneurs are like entrepreneurs or no we have to know what entrepreneur is and what intraprenuer is. I think we all know that entrepreneur is more or less but there are not so many people who know what intraprenuer is. Actually we have already had an article about intrapreneurs where we tried to explain you what being an intraprenuer is like.

Intraprenuer is the one who works for entrepreneur but who is also allowed and who can make decision in the workplace. So does this mean that the intraprenuer is like entrepreneur? Well, intraprenuer may be like entrepreneur but he or she is certainly not an entrepreneur. As you can see these two things are so much different from one another because of variety of reasons.

• First of all both of them are have the ability of analyzing which allows them to make decisions however the entrepreneurs normally takes much bigger decisions while the intraprenuer can make only the decisions that the entrepreneur lets him or her to make. In this quality we can say that they are like one another.
• As we know the entrepreneur has some goals in his life to go further and to become someone important and the intrapreneur actually also. The thing is that if the intraprenuer has also came to the level where he or she is allowed to make decisions this means that he or she also has some goals and Is trying to achieve and accomplish and in this quality they are also very like one another.
• Another reason which helps us to understand why being an entrepreneur is so much like being an intraprenuer is that most likely both are educated and clever. Of course education has a lot to do here because the entrepreneurs is most likely to have had some kind of high education even if it was not MBA. While the intrapreneur  most usually also had a higher education because he or she had enough knowledge so as to get employed and after that so as to become an intraprenuer, meaning someone who can make decisions on his own in the company.
• Both the intraprenuer and entrepreneur have got people to listen to them. The thing is that very often the intraprenuer has to give some instructions on other employees as well while the entrepreneur also does that but including a larger number of people.
• The next thing which is common between these two is that very often they both are leaders. This is a very crucial factor because for an entrepreneur it is essential to be a born leader so as to make the staff follow him while for the intraprenuer it is also a very important quality because he also takes people after him.

These are the things which can make most of the common things between the intrapreneur and entrepreneur and looking at these points we have to actually agree that being an intraprenuer is like being an entrepreneur in many ways. However, despite all these similarities we have to admit that intraprenuer is not an entrepreneur just because he or she does not own the company. The entrepreneur is much more complicated  phenomenon and job and it is hard job for sure. Being an entrepreneur is really such a diverse thing that it includes being everything for the company at the same time. When it comes to intraprenuer of course it is also great because if you have a high position in the company then you may feel like being the entrepreneur when the actual entrepreneur is away. From this point of view it is the closest thing to being the entrepreneur. The intraprenuer is given his or her own space to make decisions, to have choices on his own and in this way to have a space to develop professionally and go higher. It is the person who has some authority in the workplace because he or she can make the independent choices and solutions. On the other hand, intrapreneur has got also a lot of potential to become an entrepreneur and being an intrapreneur is a nice way of starting because you are in the company and you see all of the inner mechanism of the company, how the business  is run so many things alike. In this way the intraprenuer can become someone closer to entrepreneur and the intrapreneur can also have multi tasks and accomplish them successfully in a short period of time, however what is really interesting is that actually the intraprenuer is not entrepreneur unless he or she does not set his or her own company. Only then the intraprenuer can become entrepreneur. However if we talk about whether the intraprenuer is like entrepreneur, then we have to admit that in many ways yes.
