We all have once experienced that interview when you are being asked tones of questions and then said: we will call you. And then we came back home feeling that we could say so many things but the pressure was so much we didn’t manage to show ourselves the best way we could. Those interviews are the most pressuring ones and we do usually get prepared for them. And what we do is just getting concentrated on the questions that will be asked to us. We are getting some possible answers for them and being ready to those questions. However, there is one question that we usually forget to think about: “Do you have any questions concerning the company, job etc.?”.

Here it comes, we are usually being so concentrated on their answers that we forget about our questions. We have prepared a short list of questions that you can ask when are at the interview and the possibility to be hired is big.

  1. What is the most specific thing about the organization?

If you have applied for a job in not that much popular organization, it is natural that you won’t know a lot about it. You may have searched it via Facebook or Twitter official pages, however there are still some specific things you won’t find there. Frankly speaking, the possibility that the answer of your question will be too honest and they will bring a secret thing about the company, is too low. You will get a general answer, or something specific but not a secret. However, having asked this question would show: first – your interest towards the company and second – your attention to details.

  1. What are my job responsibilities?

Well, in most of the cases you will be told about your job responsibilities. However, sometimes those are being mentioned very quickly and not being separated vividly. Having said that, if you are applying for a Social media marketer position, make sure you ask whether writing the content for the social media is your ability or not? With this question you will both know it for yourself and decide whether it is for you or not, and will show them that you want order and certain range of responsibilities. This will also show your professionalism towards the job.

  1. Can I see the company/ have a tour?

This is a stage where you are nearly being selected. Here, most of the times the company is choosing between you and someone else. This means, in this final stage you also should make a firm decision whether you want to start working at the company or not. For this, asking for a quick company tour would be a great solution. Going through the rooms, seeing practically how is everyone working will help you in this question better than anything else. Who knows, maybe this or that condition seems awful to you and you immediately refuse or, the opposite, immediately approve the job offer.

  1. What can be a disturbing thing for hiring me?

If you feel like you are having non official interviews and meetings with the HR (you will most probably have several meetings before reaching to the final offer), you can ask this question to know whether there is something that was misunderstood. This question will help you know whether there are some skills you didn’t show well enough. Imagine, they are going to choose between you and someone else and doubting only because you haven’t shown your skill of a foreign language, or content writing etc. Having asked this question will help you describe or talk about your skills once more. This will also help the HR to make a decision easily, as will know you one question more. So let them know that you are interested in the job and if there is something you lack you can get a training on that.

Remember, you always have the chance of showing the most of you. You can always make a first, second, third impression on someone and will always have an influence with your persistency and the smart skills. Create your own list of questions and add these ones to your list as well. Don’t forget to ask them whenever you find an appropriate time and moment for them. Good luck in job hunting!
