We have talked a lot about yoga practicing and most probably you have even started practicing yoga. We congratulate you with this, as yoga does have a lot of benefits which will become your lifestyle and change it somehow (well, a little bit or drastically depending on the yogi). Remember your days, when you were going to school and imagine how great it could be if you had the opportunity of practicing yoga at school. Yoga is an exceptional way for helping children overcome those differences at an early age. In case of just handling them, getting closed in themselves and not trusting anyone, yoga helps to understand the world, forgive and find balance. It helps children overcome the problems together, it finds solutions, which are so important at the school age.

Gives energy and motivation

Well, everyone can get tired or sleepy, even if it is the most interesting and beloved subject.  However, if the school has the necessary environment for the yoga, that could be so amazing to have a 5 minutes’ yoga break and then continue with the lesson. Yoga always energizes the one who is practicing, it brings motivation and stretches the body. This means children will be ready to sit the next half of the lesson, they will be more willing to listen the continuation of the lesson, rather than when they don’t practice it at all.

It brings focus and concentration

If you are having the break of 5 minutes, be sure that children will continue listening to the lesson with more focus and concentration. You know why? Because the yoga poses that are being practiced help the concentration of the mind and body. As you concentrate on the yoga pose, you also train your brain on focus. This means, yoga will improve the concentration of the children and they will learn more and more, when they have that enough focus and energy.

 

It is also relaxing

When we say it gives energy we don’t absolutely mean that children will become proactive and will ruin the lesson with many talking etc. On the contrary, yoga also works on the relaxation, gives calmness to their minds. This will help you to continue the whole lesson in a calmer and, of course, concentrated way.

 

It brings children together

It is not as easy to make friends at school, as everyone who succeeded in that would think. Children do not make friends too easily, for this they usually overcome many challenges, so yoga is another way to bring people together, become something common for them, besides the lessons. It helps people understand each other better and somehow becomes the communication they would like to have together.

 

Imagine yourself, how great it could be if we also had that opportunity to practice yoga at school. That could be the solution to so many challenges that we have faced.
