EDITED STRAWBERRY TART

Chocolate is something which has been craved not only by children but also by adults. Here’s a very simple dessert recipe which I tried making at home and it turned out to be amazing. The no bake strawberry chocolate tart is absolutely delicious with crispy flavor of Oreo biscuit along with a lot of chocolate and a hint of strawberry in it. Its very easy to make and takes not more than 15 mins to put it together. This tart has Oreo biscuits as a base or crust filled in with chocolate ganache. The crispy Oreo biscuit base complements the soft melted chocolate ganache. The best part is this tart does not require any baking. Here’s the recipe for the same:

Ingredients needed:

For the crust:

  • 32 Oreo biscuits

  • Half cup melted butter

Chocolate filling:

  • 200 gm milk chocolate

  • 100 gm dark chocolate

  • 200 ml heavy cream

Topping:

  • 10 fresh strawberries

  • nuts (optional)

Preparation time: 15 mins + chilling time

How to make:

  1. Take a blender and add 32 Oreo biscuits, blend till crumbs form. Add half cup melted butter to the same, blend it until evenly moistened. Take a tart plate, preferably a rectangular 5 * 14 inch. Using your fingers or a spoon  spread the mixture evenly in the tart pan. Freeze the tart pan till the chocolate filling is prepared.

  2. Take a bowl add chopped small chunks of 200 grams of milk chocolate, then add chopped small chunks of 100 grams of dark chocolate to the same bowl. Keep it aside.

  3. Take a small saucepan, add 200 ml of heavy cream, heat it over medium flame until its hot. No need to boil the heavy cream just need to heat the cream, hot enough to melt the chocolate. Once hot add the cream to the bowl of chocolate and let it rest until all the chocolate melts and dissolves in the cream. Take a stirrer, mix well.

  4. Add the melted chocolate ganache to the tart pan which has oreo biscuit mixture as a base. Add strawberries and nuts to the same and refrigerate this for at least 2 hours before serving.
