We all know what boarding school is. Boarding skill is the kind of school where the students live for most of the time of the school year. So basically this is the kind of school where most of the students live and study. During these days when the students study, they do not go home, instead they spend the weekends or the holidays at home. There are different reasons why the children are being sent to boarding schools by their parents. However is it good or is it bad? This is a very controversial issue which needs to be observed. Well, actually the reasons why parents decide to send the children to boarding schools are many in number and are different.
First of all many parents are single parents who work. Not always the single parents are able to get lots of money and not always they can afford hiring a nurse or someone to look for the child. Of course the teenager is already old enough to be able to spend the time alone at home. However many parents do not trust their teenager children the whole home That is the reason why many of them just send the teenager to boarding school.
Another reason is that the teenager is very naughty and misbehaves a lot. So parents send the teenager to boarding school in order to make the behavior better and more disciplined. There are other reasons as well why the teenagers are being sent to boarding schools.
Besides this the teenagers are being sent to boarding schools because they have law self-esteem, lack of motivation, disrespect, failing the classes etc.
So is it good to send the teenager to a boarding school or it is not good? Let’s discuss the issue closer.
So first of all if the child is going to boarding school he or she will get more communicative. This is of course one of the advantages of boarding school because in this way the students can become more communicative and can find many friends.
The boarding school in its turn makes the teenagers be more responsible, tolerant and have more discipline. It is a good way of making the teen more responsible and tolerant because the teenagers lives with other students and he or she just have to share the roof and be more tolerant to others. Besides this, teenagers also will learn to obey to the rules of school, because the boarding schools have rules that everyone follows. So the teenager will have more discipline and will start to behave better.
However, the boarding schools are very boring as well. Many teenagers suffer that they do not see their parents and this fact makes them really be annoyed with he boarding school. Besides this, they can miss other friends as well. They think that their lives become very boring in the boarding school and missing and house makes them even sadder.
Another thing is that the children start thinking that their parents are not doing well with them and that thy do not need them. This is another big psychological effect that children can have while attending school. This is indeed very bad and they really will have to see that the parents love them in order to give up that idea or opinion.
In any case as we already said sending the teenager to boarding school can have its advantages and disadvantages as well. Boarding schools have a huge impact on making the child more responsible, more disciplined and more tolerant. However, on contrast with this, the boarding school has the negative effect also. So if you want to provide your children with the best education and with best possibilities then you will have to think wisely over this issue. If your child is too sensitive, the boarding school may make him or her be depressed and stresses. So anyways whatever you decide just keep the strong touch with your child and listen to his or her own opinions. If the child is really depressed because of the boarding school and cannot just be there and does not feel comfortable or secure there, just choose another school.
