MAKE HOMEMADE PANCAKES

Breakfast is first meal of the day. One of the most delicious and easy to make breakfast option is a pancake. A pancake is a flat bread or cake, usually round in shape made on a flat hot pan. Pancakes are called by different names in different countries but the procedure to make remains the same with addition or deletion of some of the ingredients. In some European countries pancakes are not only served as breakfast but also as a part of the dessert. Basic ingredients required to make a pancake is flour, milk and eggs. Pancakes can be eaten plain or with honey, butter, maple syrup,chocolate syrup, stuffed with fruit and also with cheese.

There are a lot of variety of pancakes which have been served as deserts in fancy restaurants like chocolate-chip pancake, nutella pancake, banana pancake, oreo pancake, blueberry pancake, red velvet pancake and many others. My favourite is nutella pancake and also the original classic plain pancake. I did try making this at home, it was not only very easy to make but also turned out to be amazing. Here’s the recipe for my version of nutella pancake and also I have mentioned the recipe for making original plain pancake served with maple syrup:

Plain Pancake:

Ingredients needed for plain pan cake with maple syrup:

  •  One and half cup all purpose flour

  • One and quarter cup milk

  • Three teaspoons of baking powder

  • One tablespoon of white powdered sugar

  • One egg

  • Three tablespoons melted butter

  • Three spoons maple syrup

How to make pancake with maple syrup:

  1. Take a big mixing bowl. Add one and half cup all purpose flour, three spoons baking powder, powdered sugar and salt and whisk it. In a separate bowl whisk eggs, milk and melted butter. Once evenly mixed add the mixture to the flour mixture and whisk until smooth. Now  the pancake mixture is ready.

  2. Take a flat pan. Heat to it medium high heat. Take a cup and fill one fourth of the pancake mixture and scoop it on the flat pan. Cook for three minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for 2 more minutes until brown on both the sides. Plate it and pour 3 spoons of maple syrup over it and serve it hot.

Nutella Pancake:

Ingredients needed for nutella pan cake:

  • Six big spoons of nutella

  • Three big spoons whipped cream

  •  One and half cup all purpose flour

  • One and quarter cup milk

  • Three teaspoons of baking powder

  • One tablespoon of white powdered sugar

  • One egg

  • Three tablespoons melted butter

  • Strawberries (optional)

How to make nutella pancake:

  1. Take a big mixing bowl. Add one and half cup all purpose flour, three spoons baking powder, powdered sugar and salt and whisk it. In a separate bowl whisk eggs, milk and melted butter. Once evenly mixed add the mixture to the flour mixture and whisk until smooth. Now  the pancake mixture is ready.

  2. Take a flat pan. Heat to it medium high heat. Take a cup and fill one fourth of the pancake mixture and scoop it on the flat pan. Cook for three minutes. Flip the pancake and cook for 2 more minutes until brown on both the sides.

  3. Transfer the pancake to a plate. Smear the pancake with huge amounts of nutella, spread it evenly all over the whole pancake, add one spoon of whipped cream over it and serve it with strawberries on the side.

I would recommend everyone to try both the recipes at home as pancakes are not only delicious but a very healthy option for both breakfast and dessert.
