You are right social media seems to be so important that we all sometimes forget about the email marketing. However, we should be fair enough to say that email marketing still has an important role and is one of the effective marketing solutions that is used by all of the companies. Do you get that promotional emails and spams that are not even opening them? Yes? We all do! Are you tired of those emails? The answer is yes and, again, we all are tired of them. In order not to get into that list of companies that are spamming people and the emails of which are not even being opened, here are some things you can do.

Wrong times

For email marketing choosing the right time is one of the most important things to do. Even if you have somethine to be sent as soon as possible you should not send it if the time is not appropriate. That is to say if you are going to send the letter on Friday, moreover, at the end of the day, well who would read your letter? lets’s be honest- no one. Well, it is Friday and no one opens the email inbox to see what’s up. Same refers to the weekend. If you are working on Saturdays, that doesn’t mean that it is always a good time to send emails. Most of the people are having a rest on the weekend so don’t send them anything. Those two days of a rest will be passed, many emails will be gathered, and people may even not notice your email on Monday, we don’t even yet talk about opening it. besides, the researches say that the best days for sending emails are wednesday and Thursday. Those are the days of the week when people are working their best and the possibility that they will go through all of their emails is huge.

Optimize your subject title

So, now you know when you should send the letter. However, even if it is the right time, but the letter seems to be a spam, people won’t open it. Your primary goal is for them to open the letter and read it. For that, one of the first things that plays a huge role is the subject title. Make it catchy, but not spammy, make it interesting and involving, but again not spammy. Try to avoid some words which tend to be in the spamming emails. A letter starting by “your chance to win a…” seems to much of unrealistic. Even if you are offering something to win, many people will consider it a spam, because of the subject title. So, make sure you are choosing it right and have it written naturally, not in an overexaggerated way.

Too many visuals or non of them

Well, what you use in the email is important. It will either be interesting for the receiver or not. However, you can make it to be beautiful and interesting. There are some things to take into account here. If you are used to put too many visuals in the email, make them less. This may give the viewer an impression of spaminng or an unseriousness. If you are sending an important letter, announcement, something serious, then the visuals should not be too much. The text within it should also be visible and should be mostly the important part of the email. However, not using the visuals at all, is not an option as well. Attaching the logo of your company or some other visual, related to the email would be a great plus and addition to it. Plus, the logo will give more of a serious look to the email and people will definetely consider answering your email.

Too long or too short content

So, we came to it- content. After the reciever gets to opening the message with everything else, he/ she should read a clearly written message. It shouldn’t be too short, where one wouldn’t understand what is it all about. And it shouldn’t also be too long. It is well known that people won’t spend much time on reading all of the emails, especially if it the first time you are having an email comversation. This means you should be short enough for not getting someone bored, but still have enough information for the reader.

Not comfortable for mobiles

Another thing you should be careful to is that most of us are also checking our emails through phones. This means making sure that the letter is being opened properly on phone is important. That will help the reader grab the message immedietely. Besides, you will escape the possibility of your letter being closed because it is not adjusted fot the phone and is uncomfortable to read.

Email marketing is secondary for you

In most of the cases people who don’t give a primary attention to email marketing, are not seeing huge results. This is because the role of emails is sometimes being maken less important. However, it is important to notice that one of the most impprtant things that we use nowadays as a means of professional communication is email. That means you should start paying more attention to it.

Personalize the emails

Another thing we forget to do is personalizing the emails. We are making one general content, same title for each and every email and sending them. However, we should be unique when making them,at least in their subject titles, or greeting someone. Use some programs which will let you change the name of the recepient for each email. This will show that you have spent time on the emails and didn’t send them on bulk.

Call to actions

And finally, call to actions during the email or at the end of it are important. Ask a question, mention that you are waiting for the feedback etc. So that the recepient should know which should be the next steps. If you are just sending something without mentioning what the recipient should do now, all he/ she will do is passing on and not doing anything. So make sure you tell them which should be the next steps.

If you follow these steps your email marketing will sooner become more successful and effective. Good luck.
