You already know that we will be making an amazing cabbage pie. I remember when I first heard that my mom was going to make this pie, I was stress out, because I was super hungry and honestly cabbage did not sound good to me, because I do not like it. However, when she made the cabbage I just fell in love it. The taste that it has is so rich, and you do not feel the cabbage taste, which personally I hate. The taste of cabbage was so changed that you could not even guess it was cabbage. Now the cabbage pie has become one of my favorites. The origins of this pie are unknown and it is not so popular, but I am sure most of the people will like it.  It is called pie, but actually it is more cutlet then pie because there is no dough here. The fact that there is no dough makes me love it even more, because it means that the dish is low in calories. One of the things I also like about this dish that it feels homey and is really fast to make and cheap. The number of ingredients is also few.

So let’s see what do we need to make these stunning cutlets from my mom’s cook book.

Half of a cabbage

2 eggs

2 cups of flour

Vegetable oil

Parsley

Salt

Pepper

2 carrots

2 onions

The making

At first we have to wash the cabbage properly, the cut it into small cubes. Cut the cubes as small as possible. Then take a big bowl, add water there and start cooking the cabbage. While the cabbage is being cooked, you have to cut the carrots and the onion. After that you will need to fry the carrots and onion in a frying pan, but try to fry slightly. Once the cabbage is cooked, then take another big bowl. Add the cooked cabbage, chopped parsley, onion and carrot there and mix well so as all the ingredients come together. Then break the eggs on the mass and add salt and pepper. Then finally by the help of tablespoon form oval cutlets.  The cutlets must be clingy due to the egg. Once you have formed the cutlets, sink them into the flour and by the use of vegetable oil fry them until they get the golden color.

The cutlets are ready. It is really easy process. The timing is about 1 hour. While the nutrition is of medium level. 

The cutlets are really super tasty and feel super homey. They good for breakfast, for lunch, for dinner and supper and the thing that makes them even more enchanting is that they are not so oily and greasy. There is no dough here, so you can make it even when you are on diet.
