We all are busy: some with the job at the offices, some are busy with the school and studying, some are doing both, others also have children with it and don’t have time for anything else. 21st century is a century of busy people who are always hurrying somewhere and are not managing to do everything in the to do lists. However, health still stays number one importance for everyone, even if at this moment you feel like not caring much about it.
Much of the jobs now are connected with the computers and internet, which means people are spending hours in front of the computers, standing up from them only once in a couple of hours. Imagine yourself sitting the whole day and just looking to the one point. That’s really bad (if not giving any other name for this) even if you are following of the rules of seating right in front of the computer.
Here we are: yoga comes to help again. If before this day you were believing that yoga is only for special hours and special places, we are here to say: it is not. If you are yoga lover, you still will be able to find yoga poses which can be combined with the job at the office. So here they are:
- Start with the Chair pigeon pose
It is okay that you are at the office and some poses will be changed, because you won’t be able to do some of them standing or lying on the floor. So, for this reason, you just need to find the ones, which can be easily done on the chair. Chair pigeon pose is one of them, which will help your back get relaxed and your feet calmed. Make sure you are having enough breaths before changing your leg to the other one. Repeat this several times.
- Chair Pose 2
As everything is connected with the chair here is another one: seating and standing. If you have a separate office room, or your colleagues left the room for couple of minutes, don’t lose the chance of doing this seating and standing chair pose. Just stand up and seat with your feet having 90 degrees when you are seating. During standing up you can have your arms righting front of you helping you get up. Repeat this for 8-10 times.
- Try the Seated Eagle pose
The Seated Eagle pose is usually done on the mat, however, again you can find solution here and do this on the chair. Find the right time, when you feel like relaxing the parts of your body. And just start doing the seated eagle pose on your chair.
- Upward dog pose
We have talked a lot about the dog pose, and now it is time for the desk upward dog pose. For this pose your arms should be straight, your hips should be toward the desk, feet should be straight again. You should do the upward dog pose with exhaling and inhaling. Hold in one position for about 6 to 10 breaths and then go the beginning position. Repeat this movement If you have enough time.
- Time for Plank Pose
Another great Desk pose is the Plank pose, for which you need to stand up. Put your hands on the edge of the desk. After, put your feet back so that they will be under your hips. Start inhaling and exhaling and stay in this position for about 5 breaths. Slowly come back to the beginning position and repeat it couple of more times. This pose not only helps your back and whole your body get relaxed, but also have a rest and get rid of negative feelings.
If you liked these office yoga poses go on with trying them and making your office working hours more pleasant and energized. Have a good working day. Namaste!
