Gyros are a tasty dish taken from Greek cuisine. The original roots of gyros date back to Ancient Greece and represent the Greek cuisine even now in 21th century in international cuisine.

Of course for the chicken gyros you need to make a marinade for chicken meat. To make the marinade you just have to make a simple juice with Greek herbs, salt and spices and soak the meat into the mass. You can leave the chicken meat in the marinade for about half an hour and even more.
Thus, to make the chicken gyro you need to have
500 gram chicken meat, boneless
3 garlic
2 Lemons
1 teaspoon of pepper
40 gram of sea salt
For the sauce you need
Cucumber 1
Minced garlic 2
Olive oil ¼ cup
Yogurt 500 gram
2 teaspoon red wine vinegar
Salt
After you have made the marinade for chicken and the meat is well soaked up in the sauce, you need to make the sauce. So for the sauce you add the olive oil and garlic and blend them together. The remove the skin and seeds from cucumber, chop and blend with already blended oil and garlic. Then add the yogurt to the mass you have and then add the wine vinegar and salt, so much until all the ingredients are combined. So the sauce is ready, however you must keep in a fridge and serve in cold way.
Then take the gyros out of marinade, put it into the water so that all the juicy part of marinade will go away and place them in beforehand hot non-stick pan for 3-4 minutes on each side. Make sure that the colors are nice red, but the meat is cooked and there is no blood inside or no pink part in the meat.
When the chicken is ready you can also chop tomatoes and fry some potatoes to enrich the dish.
Gyros are usually served in paper, with the Greek bread stuffed with the chicken, and with the sauce on it. However, if you want to add fried potatoes, then it is no problem, because they go well with the dish. Some restaurants even add salad, fried potatoes and other chopped vegetables to the gyros so that it becomes very rich and you get fed up after you eat one gyro. Just like Mexican tacos, gyros are also very notorious, but Mexican tacos are lighter, you can have 2 or more of them, while gyros are bigger and one is totally enough.
