Just like every other Apple launch, the iPhone 6 also received its fair share of hype and propaganda building up to the day it was finally released. However, now that it is already out and has a number of users, there are a variety of negative aspects that encourage these users to advice against its purchase.
Here are a few reasons why you shouldn’t just jump the bandwagon yet –
Inferior Screen Glass
The iPhone 6 doesn’t feature a sapphire screen gass like most users hoped. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 scores more points in the display department. Considering that these screens promise a harder and more robust surface, the existence on the new iPhone could have been a game changer.
Lack of Wireless Charging
Investing in an expensive phone such as the iPhone 6 is of no use if you are going to be stranded in the middle of a busy working day. While most of other competitors are focusing on introducing wireless charging facilities to ensure seamless connectivity all through the day, the latest iPhone falls short on adopting the next most obvious piece of technology.
Lack of Water and Dust Proofing
Sony among many other smaller smart phone players have already been marketing their waterproof and dust proof phones for months. Furthermore the next Samsung Galaxy model also holds promises of being able to sustain in 1 meter deep water for a period of 30 minutes. The iPhone 6 fails to impress in this area.
Not enough RAM and Inferior Processor
The 1GB RAM fails to impress since the Sony Z3 and most Samsung phones are already providing a 2GB RAM making it easier for users and developers to use and implement for complex applications. The iPhone6 comes with a dual core processor while other competitors are already providing quad core capabilities.
Battery Life
While the company claims that the 64 bit A8 chip helps in battery efficiency, the capacity on this phone is set at 1810 mAh (IPhone 6) and 2915 mAh (IPhone 6 Plus). This is much lower than other competitive devices already available in the market. While Apple promises 24 hours of talk time on 3G, so far this isn’t true. That said, phones such as the Sony Z3 are able to perform well in this regard.
Issues with the Phone Bending
Finally, there is news of the new Apple phone bending in back pockets. There have been a number of reports from around the world where users who left their phones in the back pockets found their phones to be bent upon removal.
In addition to this, users were expecting a more sophisticated design that would facilitate access to high end applications and features. The iPhone6 was unable to adopt a variety of technologically advanced capabilities that are available in Androids and other smart phones. Considering the amount of money a user is expected to spend on the new phone, the handset is far from justifying its exorbitant price.
