It is not a secret that children all are very sensitive creatures and always need much more support, love and care than adults. This is very true. All the children just seek attention. They want to be loved and taken good care of and they always want to be in spotlight of the parent. If the child is kind of too sensitive and much more sensitive than others, then you have to take much more care of them than of someone else. You have to try by all means to support your child and never hurt. This is very hard to do, because sometimes children misbehave and you should respond in proper way. However, at the same time you should encourage them and push them to do better and become better day by day. This is not an easy thing at all. Your children must feel that you need them and that you will never let them down. Never letting down actually means supporting, encouraging, loving and always caring. These are the things that are extremely important for the child in order to feel good and to be able to become better and to do better. So as we see it is also a kind of motivation.
So now let’s discuss how parents can never let the child down.
- If the child did something great, or not even great but something which is good or better from the previous experience, then parents should definitely voice about it. Both of the parents should praise and should tell the child that he did a great job. If the job is not as great as you wanted it to be, but anyways is much better, then you can tell that he did a good job and next time we will do a great job. This will give the child even more motivation, and he will try his or her best.
- If your child has to do something but he or she does not just succeed, because of the lack of some qualities, then you should never tell the child, he or she can’t do it and never tell to give it up. It works just the other way. You should tell your child that a lot of practice will make it perfect. In this case he will not be disappointed and will try to prove himself or herself and also you that he or she can do that.
- When something happens to you child never let him or her know that you are extremely sorry. If he scratched himself during the game, instead of telling how sorry you are, you should tell him that he is completely okay. In this case you will help him to deal with his or her emotions and completely be okay in any kind of situation or in case of feeling pain as well. This situation also explains how to never let your child down.
- Another situation where you can help your child a lot and not let him or her down, is telling how beautiful and handsome he or she is. Sometimes there is a strong competition between the children in kindergarten or at school. Sometimes they see children that are too proud of themselves, and this may cause some uncomfortable situation for your child. In this case you will just have to tell the child that he or she is beautiful, handsome and tell other kind of compliments as well.
- In general never ever beat the child very hard. You can slightly slap the child, but never beat hard. This is really something that will make you be cruel in the eye of the child and he will feel extremely bad about his. Besides this, the child will be strongly offended and will also feel as if you let him down very hard.
