Today we will be discussing the pregnancy that the teenagers have and the pregnancy that adults have. Actually we will discuss what is better being pregnant as an adult or as a teenager. As you can guess teenage pregnancy is really hard experience. The teenage pregnant woman is still a teenager who wants to have fun and to become a teenager. Teenagers face lots of difficulties while becoming parents. We will discuss what is good about being a pregnant teenager and what is not good about it at all.
So now let’s understand both cases. Let’s start with the pregnancy among teenagers.
- As we already mentioned above, being pregnant as teenager will change your whole life. You will not be able to spend as much time as you used to spend with friends. You will not be able to have parties and go out. You will just sit at home and take care of the baby which of course is difficult to do for the teenager. However, when it comes to pregnancy as adult, then things are a bit different. In this case you are old enough and you already experienced enough parties and fun times with friends.
- If you are a teenage pregnant then there is a huge risk for the health of your baby. Your organism is not developed enough and is not mature enough for childbirth. This may be a cause of unhealthy baby. As you know dealing with unhealthy baby is not easy at all. On the other hand, these risks are lower for those who are adults. Adult pregnancy is much safer in this case.
- Besides this, adults can definitely treat the baby and raise up the baby better than the teenagers. As we already said teenagers are still getting transformed themselves. From this aspect, you have to think that becoming a parent while you still have to learn many things as well is not easy. However in case of adult pregnancy you are mature enough to understand many things about the baby.
- The next thing is very much connected to finances. Of course when you are an adult you can give your baby a better future, then if you are teenager. It would be extremely difficult for teenagers to provide the baby with necessary things, while the adult can do it much better.
- When you are adult and you are pregnant, you more or less already have the right people around you. In general you have much experience and even if the father is not next to you, you still will have some great people that will always support you. However, if you are teenager and you are pregnant, you still kind of did not figure out the people around you. You may have friends, but they may leave you when they learn about your pregnancy. Another thing is the father. Dealing with single mom status is easier when you are adult, than when you are teenager.
- There is another key factor here. If you are teenager and you should get married because of pregnancy, then you may think about something else. Are you ready for teenage marriage? While adults are better prepared for marriage for sure.
- However, there is one plus that works for teenage pregnancy. The plus is related to the age gap between the baby and mom. The age gap between you will be much smaller, and you will understand each other better and will become real friends. While if the age gap between mom and baby is huge, then they have some difficulties while communicating.
As you see it is absolutely clear that becoming a teenage mom is losing. Pregnancy is a huge responsibility for both parents. When you are an adult you more or less are standing firmly on the ground and you can deal with such kind of responsibility. While if you are teenager, you can hardly take care of yourself, let alone the child.
So if you listen to us, you will definitely not get pregnant while you are a teenager if there is no wish to change the lifestyle. Think well before making your steps into the bigger world, which is designed for adults only.
