Tacos. Have you ever heard this name? Are you well acquainted with? Do you know what it is? If you are into Mexican good food, then you definitely know what it is. Taco is a brilliant example of Mexican hot cuisine. Mexican cuisine is tasty and spicy and we you love it, and then tacos are made for you. If you have never tried Mexican food then you should try it at least once, I think you will like it, because it is hard not to like it. It is such a bad temptation to deny that Mexican food is awesome.
There are different kinds of tacos, made with different meat, however today we will keep the focus on fish tacos, as we know that fish is super healthy ingredient and we want to promote a healthy lifestyle.
Before making tacos you may be concerned about how difficult it is going to be, but in reality It is a very easy dish, and very quick to make. Besides it is also very nutritious as it has many ingredients in it. Once you eat it, you immediately feel full.
Though tacos, like Greek gyros are known to be junk food, however, you can find many important ingredients that contain essential vitamins and other vitally important things for us.
So we need many ingredients to make tacos. Here is the list.
½ red onions, which must be sliced thinly
½ cups of vinegar or wine, that is up to your choice
Olive oil approximately ¼ cup
1 and ½ teaspoon of chili powder
1 and ½ teaspoons of oregano
½ teaspoon of green cumin
¼ cup cilantro leaves, which must be fresh
1 jalapeno, necessarily chopped and stemmed
1 pound of white fish
Corn Tortillas
Mexican cream
Tomato salsa, must be fresh
2 limes or lemons.
The first thing we must do is marinating the onion. For that we must put the onion in small red wine or vinegar and keep it covered for at least for 30 minutes.
Then we have to marinate the fish. You take a small bowl, put there the olive oil, chile powder, oregano, cumin, cilantro, but chopped beforehand, and then you add the jalapeno. Then you take the fish, pour it in it, and make sure that it is covered with marinate from all the sides. Leave the fish in marinate coat for about 20 minutes.
Then it is the time to remove the marinate. You preheat the pan and cook it for about 4-5 minutes on one side, and then you slice it into the other side and cook on that side for 2 more minutes. Then you check the seasoning, if it is seasoned beautifully, and then do the tortillas.
Microwave the tortillas for about 50 minutes. When they are ready, you place the fish in the middle of tortilla, and add marinated onions to it, then add the Mexican cream and salsa. The fish taco is ready.
As you saw, it is not such a quick thing to make tacos. It takes about 1 hour but the result we get is just wonderful. It is tasty, healthy, and Mexican, which is really important.
