It is not a secret that French cuisine is fine and delicate, it is beautiful and tasty at the same time. French cuisine is beautiful, elegant, and you can feel that even in taste. The French cuisine in medieval period was also a little bit influenced by the Italian cuisine. So today we decided to introduce you a very beautiful and fine dish, which will help you feel the French atmosphere and will make you look delicate and feel as if you are in restaurant even when you are at home.

SO this soup is called Henri’s onion soup and actually there is no explanation why it is called Henri’s. So let’s see what the ingredients are.

The Ingredients.

3 pounds of yellow onions

3 tablespoon of unsalted butter

½ tablespoon of salt

1 pinch of sugar

8 cups of water

1 tablespoon of flour

1 sprig of fresh thyme

¼ cups of dry wine

1 crusty baguette

Melted Gruyere cheese

The making

Melt the butter in a large bowl, add the onions, salt and sugar. Cover the head of the pan and cook it for 10 minutes. Then you have to take the cover off and cook that way by stirring constantly so much until the onions get brown or golden. You have to cook for about 80 minutes or so. Then add some water and stir, so much until the mass covers brown. Then continue to cook so much until the color of onions I really dark. Then add the flour and again continue stirring for 2-3 minutes.

For the next step add 8 cups water, the thyme and bring it to boil. Then lower the heat and leave that way for about 20 minutes. Then you should add the wine and wait for another 10 minutes.  For the last, add some salt and take it out of oven. 

Cut the baguette into slices, put them into the oven and bake them so much until they are dry. Once they are dry take them out of oven. 

Take a deep plate, add some soup there, put the dried baguette on top, and at last put the cheese also on top. 

The delicate soup is ready. 

As you can see, it is actually easy to make, but the timing is much, that’s why it is complicated to make this dish. The nutrition is high because of cheese and onion there.
