ENTREPRENEURSHIP VS INTRAPRENEURSHIP. THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT INTRAPRENEURSHIP

Many people nowadays are acquainted only with the term of entrepreneur and not everyone knows that there exists such a term known as intrapreneurship. In fact of course it is quite natural just because this term came into use quite recently and is relatively quite a new term. Many people who hear this word for the first time, think that actually it is another type of intrapreneurship. In reality, intrapreneurship is something really different from entrepreneurship. The thing is that if you are an intrapreneur it does not mean that you own company while in case of the entrepreneurship it actually does mean that you own a company or that you have something which belongs to you. The entrepreneurship is a much more complicated thing and is broader, while intrapreneurship is more simple and less complicated. When you are an entrepreneur you are actually the one to make the intrapreneurs. SO what is intrapreneurship all about? It is when you work in a company where you can solve specific problems. Of course being an intrapreneur does not actually mean that you solve all the problems. The biggest responsible person for all the problems is of course the entrepreneur but if you can solve some specific problems in your company, it means that you are a kind of intrapreneur.

• Intrapreneurs just like the entrepreneurs also take risks and try to estimate them, accomplish them and if there are some problems with it they try to solve them. To put it in another way the entrepreneur is someone who has the ability to solve the problems related to some specific spheres and the entrepreneurs trust this work to the intrapreneur.
• The entrepreneur sets the goal and the intrapreneurs try to reach the goal. This is how we can put the differences between these two as well. Well, the thing is that the intrapreneurs are the driving force of the company and while the entrepreneurs give instructions in larger scale or set the final goal, the intrapreneurs are to reach that goal. They are the driving force of the company, the ones that boost the company higher and make it closer to success.
• Sometimes intrapreneurs become so skilled that they eventually end up being entrepreneurs themselves. When the intrapreneurs work in the company for a quite long period of time and become very good and highly productive at what they do, they obtain all the necessary skills and eventually they end up being quite good entrepreneurs themselves. So we can imagine that being intrapreneur means that you are one step closer to being an entrepreneur.
• Intrapreneurs just like the entrepreneurs require some space and freedom to work. It is just necessary in order to be able to experiment and of course to be a good one you must have enough freedom in order to understand what you can do and what you cannot do about it.
• Every successful intrapreneur must understand the trends. If you are an intrapreneur then most probably one of your strong points is that you understand the trends very well. This helps you to keep up with the time and to make things much better for your company.
• Another thing with intrapreneur is that actually intrapreneurs are also very good leaders. If you are an intrapreneur then I am sure that you must be a leader because in a company where a lot of people can be working you should be a leader if you can make your own decisions and find solutions according to your opinion.
• The intrapreneurs are not simply viewed as ordinary workers of the company but something much more than that. The thing is that actually intrapreneurs are quite good workers and they are the pride of any company. From this point of view you have to know that being an intrapreneur is simply another level of pride for every company.

As you can see the intrapreneur is quite different from being an entrepreneur and one should not mess these 2 terms with each other as they are very different. However, one thing that you should know about the intrapreneurs is that actually they have very good potential of becoming entrepreneurs themselves as they have already made several steps closer to that title. Maybe they do not even want to become entrepreneurs and they feel good about the amount of responsibility that they carry but in any case if you are an intrapreneur then for sure you have got some qualities that make you stand out from other workers and make you closer to entrepreneur and leader. Intrapreneurs focus on less than the entrepreneurs but many of intrapreneurs are future entrepreneurs and their work as intrapreneur makes them really good and successful entrepreneurs in the future as they see all the details of the work.
