As you can see we need pretty many ingredients to make the Israeli kind of falafel. So after finding all of them it is the time for making.

The making

Take a large bowl, put the chickpeas there and add water. Leave it that way the night before making falafel. Then next day add the chopped parsley, cilantro, garlic, hot pepper and cumin.

Then you should sprinkle in the baking powder, add 4 tablespoon of flour and pulse. Then you can add more of flour or bulgur so as the dough will not be sticky. Make balls and then place them into refrigerator.  Leave them in refrigerator for several hours.

Heat the oil to 370 degrees in a deep pot and then add one ball in order to test the texture. Of the ball does not fall apart then everything is fine. If it does fall apart then add more flour. Then add the balls into the pot, fry them so much until they get golden or red, and then take them out. Drain them on paper towels. Then take the pita bread, add the balls into there, then add the tomatoes, green pepper and onion. Add tahini.

This was the recipe of falafel which is popular in Israel and which has Israeli origins.

Though being fast food, the nutrition is high. The making process is complicated and you need like 2 hours to make it. However, the result is worthy.

Enjoy your Israeli falafel.
