WHAT IS SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP ?

What is social entrepreneurship. Well, many people hear this term very often however they do not completely get the meaning of this term. In reality social entrepreneurship is not so much an entrepreneurship and at the same time it was a social entrepreneurship.  Well, the thing with this is that actually social entrepreneur is someone who raises money for the sake of society. This means that the one who raises the money, does it only for the purpose of society or some other common goals and interests and not for his own sake and profit. Actually this was a quite simple definition just to make things clear cut for you. However, in reality things are much more complicated. The thing is that most social entrepreneurship is very mixed and we can meet non-profit, hybrid profit (that is mixed) organizations and people do not very often understand if overall social entrepreneurship is a profit organization or a non-profit one. In any case we want to tell you that it is possible for the entrepreneurship to be both profit and non-profit and at the same time be a very good one.  For example some social entrepreneurship can have some kind of business that is some kind of profit making source so as to raise money for something else in order to benefit something for society. For example you can have a restaurant if you are a social entrepreneur and you can make a lot of profit but at the same time to send all the money not to your personal budget but to some charity work or something for the whole society. For example the benefit can be aimed for helping the homeless people or homeless dogs to find homes etc. It can have very different purposes from making the environment greener into helping the people or animals and thus making the surrounding world and society better and more balanced. In this way it has a lot to do with charity and philanthropists. Another thing with this one is that actually  the social entrepreneur cannot do this alone. Social entrepreneurship is something which is about more than just one person. You can describe it as a club of people who want to do their best in order to help the society with something. How do these people unite? Nowadays it is much easier to unite people over this kind of issues as thanks to the Internet, any kind of campaign can become very successful . So social media is a very good chance in order to make all of these things happen and go further.  You can really end up doing something great for society. Of course if want to become social entrepreneur then you have to understand that expecting any kind of income from this activity is not good because it is purely something to be done for society and that is just wrong to take the money and use it for your own purpose while for example 1000 people raised money for something else.

Besides this, you have to also know that actually it is just amazing how people of different nations of different ages can unite over one purpose. It makes us believe in the power of humanity in the good way. In order to be social entrepreneur you have to understand that you should have another kind of income because you already cannot count on it. Most often the social entrepreneurs are the people who have already have become someone successful and who are able to have some influence on society. It takes a lot of time and courage and influence and name in order to be able to gather people around you. For social entrepreneurship you again have to be a true leader otherwise people just will not follow you.

Nowadays many famous stars and models are involved in such activities as social entrepreneurship. For example the top model Doutzen Kroes used her fame in order to make her colleagues united over one issue and to save the elephants from being tortured with her ”knot on my planet” campaign.   Of course this is another great way of social entrepreneurship but this is more like a philanthropist act. It is a one occasion activity while social entrepreneurship is way too lasting, it is stable and more institutionalized.

Anyway, we wish that our society was richer in social entrepreneurship as it is something really great and it helps our society and makes the world a better place to live in.  We should really be involved in such non-governmental charity campaigns, in philanthropist actions because it is our duty to live for the sake of each other and help each other unconditionally.  So if you have the opportunity of becoming a part of social entrepreneurship then just do not waste your time and go for it.
