It is a usual thing that all of the leaders would search for some ways to have energy and stay motivated. They are always searching and trying to find some resources which can be a motivation to something new and powerful. This is how leaders are constantly learning, educating themselves and developing their lives. However, with all of these, whenever leaders are building their own company, or having their team working on a common goal, they should take care of not only their motivation. Here is the most difficult part of it: being motivated for the goal and the common purpose wouldn’t be enough, until your team members are motivated the same amount as you are.

And in order to keep your team members full of energy and motivated, here are some of the tips you can use daily:

  1. Share your motivation resources with the team members

Most probably, you as a leader, already have a list of things/ ways, you are getting motivation from. Those can be either a great book, an interesting and deep movie, or a place you go every time to energize yourself. Share all of those tips with your team members. Let them be the part of everything you created alone: this will help them reach to the common goal easier and get joy from it.

  1. Make a deep connection with the team members

Encourage all of your team members, build some team building events, let your team spend more time together. This will help you build a common goal: a goal that not only you are interested in. Make sure you are seeing a connection between the goals. It is always important to let each of the team member that you appreciate them separately. But it is also important to create an environment where the team members won’t get into a competition and forget about the common goal.

  1. Set your goal as a goal of the team

Do not set the goal as your purpose: it is important for your team members to know that they are not just working for you and your future. Let them know and feel that it is all about your future together. Let them be equally involved in whatever they are doing and not take it just as a responsibility. This will also let them care about the job they are doing and make everything much better, then they were used to.

  1. Stay positive

We know it is always difficult to find motivation, especially in cases when you are having difficulties in the project, company etc. And we know that it would be even more difficult for your team members if you walk from here and there with an angry and horror face, shouting loud on this or that task. We know that if things are going wrong it is difficult to pretend that everything is right. However, it is also important not to forget about the positivity and optimistic views. Believe us or not, whenever the things are going bad, your employees/ team members are also feeling sad about it. And most probably, some of them wouldn’t have any connection and shouldn’t be blamed for that. Which means, instead of blaming this or that employee, or just shouting that things go wrong, first find the positivity in yourself. After, when you somehow admit the situation, start energizing your team members, give them the opportunity to be optimistic and believe that everything will be fixed soon. This will help them better work on the things and stay positive on doing things till the end (even if you wouldn’t like to bring everything to the end).

  1. Rewards are must

Well, and as a final step, do not forget about the rewards. If you don’t want to have much competition between the team members, you can reward all of them together. For example, giving them a day off, or organizing a special event for them would be a great surprise. This will both help them have a rest, become closer with each other and understand you better. In other words, do not forget that everyone needs to be appreciated, so go on and let them know you appreciate them.

 

All of those tricks will help you keep your team members or employees motivated and energized. Remember, that if you wish to have everything done effectively you should not only think about your motivation but also motivate others. So, don’t wait, go and do it!
