The business market is extremely large and complicated. It includes all the possible kinds of business including service, some products, brands etc. Those companies and entrepreneurs who want to become successful, they should try to understand the whole market very well. The thing is that the business market is really so much complex and you need to have a lot of knowledge about it before your step into the business market. You have to be very well acquainted with all the specific characteristics of that business market you want to step in, otherwise you will lose yourself in that big market. So what are the major characteristics of business market? Well, there are several of them.
Let’s now take a closer look to this issue.
- First of all, the major characteristic is that in normal economic system there is a competition, and the competition is very tough. This is of course not about all the countries. The thing is that in some countries there is monopoly in specific sphere. In this case the typical major characteristic is that there is no chance of getting into the mark successfully, because there is monopoly in the market which is hard to break because it is not only economic issue but political as well. However, when the market is not monopolistic but quite normal, then you have to understand that you will be put into competition. Competition is something good for the market, because people compete and as long as they compete they try to offer better and better for the clients.
- Except competition, which is the natural characteristic of any right business market is that usually the medium sized enterprises should be the dominant ones. This means that in the country where everything is right with the economic system and with the business market, the number of medium sized enterprises is more than the small ones or the big ones. Of course this is quite natural, because if there are only big ones than they will swallow the small ones. So the real and the most dominant business category in developed countries is the medium-sized business.
- The major characteristics of any business market is that the preference is given to the locals. This means that if you set the business in the country where you are citizen, then the conditions for you are better than for those who are not the citizen of that country. For example the taxes can be lower for the ones who hold the passports of that very country than those who hold the passports of some other countries. Besides this the rules of getting permission and license can be different and more complicated for non-citizens.
- In the countries with right economic system , those who just started business do not pay taxes to government for some fixed period of time. This is of course quite good, because when you just start, you do not have any income but you spend resources including money. This is done so as to give a chance to those who start to rise and develop.
- Another common characteristic of business market in normal economic structure is that actually you should pay taxes according to the income. It means that taking into the consideration how much you earn, you should pay some part of it to the government.
- Another characteristic is that the enterprisers set different prices for locals and for those who are not locals. This is done in many countries nowadays. Whether it is good or no, is the other side of coin, but that is a fact.
These are the most common characteristics of any business market. Of course business markets are different from country to country but usually these characteristics or principles mentioned above, are the most common ones for most of the countries of the world. Unfortunately not all the countries have right economic policy which results in the economic collapse of the country of very slow development of the country in the sphere of economy. Some countries have very rigid monopolistic systems which lead to the collapse of economy as well. The causes of these are very different. Normally the economic sphere of the country is strongly interrelated with the politics of that country as well and the business market being under the economic market is greatly influenced by politics. For example a lot of countries have monopolistic economic systems and when you pay attention to the politics of the country you will understand that these countries have severe totalitarian regimes.
So as you can see there can be a lot of common things between the business markets of different countries, but some countries are out of these rules when it comes to business and have quite different regimes in economy.
