Morality and values are definitely things that we learn from our parents. These are the things that vary greatly from family to family and therefore family members and parents should be role models for their children who are at preteen age or who are already teenagers. Actually it is really important to have the right morals and values and to teach them to preteens because if they know the right morals they can easily pass the teenage years and avoid most of the difficulties that the teenagers face. Preteen years are important because they are the basis of the teen years and teen years will be build on what you have during the preteen times. This in its turn means that if you want to raise up a right teenager, then you have to start from early ages. Set right morals and values when the child is not teenager yet, and this will be your key of success to good teenage years for the child.
- Thus, what you have to do is to teach the preteen that family is one of the most important if not the most important things in life. If you succeed doing this then you will avoid having problems with the child during teen years because the child will not quarrel or fight with you. If the child accepts family as something holy, then definitely it will be a huge deal to you. If the child is a teenager who understand the role of family, he or she will always listen to your advice and in this way you will be able to control his or her life. So just make sure that your child knows what the family is and is ready to have this value.
- Of course you should teach your preteen that if there is possibility he or she should be kind and should help those who need it. If you teach this to you preteen then he will become really something who will do many good things, not only to other but to as parent as well.
- Teach your preteen that the adults should always be respected. Unfortunately not many teens respect adults and their parents as well. However, if you teach them that adults should always be respected they will definitely grow up being very good people and the one who will respect older people and follow their advice.
- Another thing you should teach is not being greedy and jealous. These are mean qualities that do not do anything but spoil the character of the child and also make the life difficult for him or her at first. Jealousy does not harm anyone else but you and that is the reason why you should teach your child to be happy for someone else’s luck, success and happiness.
- And for the last, you should also teach your child to be open to life, to trust, to believe. These are very important morals and qualities because when the child is open to world and is not closing himself or herself, she or he is much better for the rest of the world. Besides this, trust build trust. So this means that if you trust and believe others, they will also believe you, while if you do not trust then they also will not believe in you. That is why learning how to trust, believe and be open to the world is very important even since the preteen ages.
- Another thing you should teach your preteen is that definitely loving is very important. Loving and caring about others is what makes you a better person and you definitely should love and care about everyone no matter the skin color, the nationality or the race.
Basically these were the morals or values that every parents should teach their preteen children. Having thought all these morals to preteen child will help you to have a better teenager, who is not misbehaving but who is respecting parents, taking into consideration their advice and who is open to the world full of life, positive energy, love, care and kindness. Of course these are not all the thing that you can teach, but these are the basic ones. Teach your preteen as much morals and values as possible.
