I am sure not many of you are aware of this fact but there are unisex shoes as well. In our previous articles we have talked about unisex clothing many times, so it should not be news for you that the idea of unisex clothing dates back to 19th century and that it came with the idea of feminism and with the development of feministic movement. As a cause of feminism movement men and women started to dress more or less in the same way. However, in our previous articles we did not refer to unisex shoes, which are very fashionable and trendy nowadays. You can see more and more people nowadays wearing unisex shoes.
If you have never seen unisex shoes on someone, then you may think that what unisex shoes will look like on men. You may think that unisex shoes look girlish for men and that in case of men, it is all about wearing shoes with heels. However, you are strongly mistaken, as most of the unisex shoes are flat and they look like more male shoes than female shoes. That is actually the reason why some men do not like the unisex shoes on women, because they think that those shoes are designed for men only and that they make women lose their feminine side.
However, let’s disagree with this statement, as most of the unisex shoes, though looking more like male shoes, fit the women quite well. Why are the unisex shoes attractive?
Well, for women they are attractive just because they break the stereotype that women should be on heels. Women wear flat shoes as well, for a very long time now, but unisex shoes make women look kind of unique and special and make them stand out from other women. While on the other hand, for men they can be attractive because they look quite like men’s shoes and at the same time they are sort of breaking the too strict style of men.
Next thing that can be attractive about the unisex shoes is that the letters are quite comfortable. Most of the women are sick and tired of uncomfortable heels that make them tired, and instead they prefer wearing shoes which make them feel in comfort and let them move as much as they want. Luckily enough for women, the unisex shoes allow them to meet the comfort they need so much.
Another attractive fact about the unisex shoes is that they are very stylish. For men, as we have already mentioned they make the look softer a little bit, and break the strict and still look of men. While when it comes to women, the unisex shoes work perfectly to make them look diplomatic, trendy and make them stand out from the crowd of other women.
If most of the women shoes do not match to working place, the unisex shoes match the office style quite successfully. It is definitely better nowadays to go to work on unisex shoes rather than on heels, which sometimes can look funny.
The next plus of unisex shoes, which make them absolutely incredible, is that they really are classy. You may be strongly surprised to hear this, but the unisex shoes make both men and women classy and this is just incredible.
One of the great things about unisex shoes is that you and your partner can exchange with shoes as well. This may sound strange for some couples, but for many others this can be quite acceptable to wear the partner’s shoe and many couples really do this nowadays. Instead of buying shoes separately they just share the shoes and thus save some money as well.
When it comes to color choice for unisex shoes for women, you may somehow be confused, but there is no need for that. Men should better wear the neutral colors, like brown, black, dark or light blue, while women can wear both black ones and more colorful ones. If women wear colorful ones, they will look more girlish, while in case of neutral ones, they will emphasize the shoes being unisex more than in case of colorful ones.
