Deciding on what to wear to your office everyday could be a daunting task and wearing the repetitive patterns just makes us feel very bored and so mundane. So amping up your office wear becomes necessary. It makes you feel fresh, Confident and you also get noticed in your office. Work wear should be decent and sober you can add some colours to your office wear without being too loud. Any dress you wear at work should be ‘work appropriate’. A lot also depends on what type of job you have. At a fashion designers office, you’ll notice people wearing offbeat clothes, while at a law firm you’ll find people keeping it all very crisp and black. Few offices have dress codes, like compulsory Formal wear and some offices keep it casual. These days most of the offices have casual wear as a dress code for their employees ,since it’s more comfortable and more of a new age thing. Casual dressing has become increasingly popular. You can style your clothes in many ways even when you dress up for your work.

Also one can give a touch of their personality to the outfits they wear. So let’s take a look at the clothes and accessories you can style for your office look.

  • Transitional outfits: Try wearing transitional outfits, by that I mean something that takes you from desk to dinner. As you may be running errands, these days you don’t find time to change, to go out on a dinner date straight after you finish off your work, it gets difficult. In such times a shift dress + Blazer works well! A single look that takes you from office hours to happy hours. You can just take off the blazer and you are good to go after your office. You can also add in an elegant little piece of accessory like pearl jewellery or a pretty statement necklace that goes with the dress.
  • Shirts, Skirts and Trousers: This is a complete corporate dressing staple. Makes you look extremely professional and sharp. You can also go in for high- waisted trousers/formal pants which are a rage these days. Girls who are taller can experiment with high-waisted flared pants as it looks really good on them. Skirts too look so sleek and beautiful on women. It adds a feminine flair to your office look. A nice Charcoal grey pencil skirt with white or maroon plain /ruffled shirt works wonders. If casual dressing is allowed at your office you can also go for culottes which are a rage right now. Pair your culottes with pumps or block heels as they look good together.

  • Kurtis+Leggings: Every Indian girls’/women’s’ quick fix, a go-to outfit. Simple and nice. There is a wide range of kurtis you get in India. Lots of designs, cuts and colours and brands and the matching colourful leggings to go with it. You can wear the Khaki ones, grey ones, these days you also get designer kurtis, Monochrome ones, colour blocked kurtis etc, so many varieties to mention.
  • Accessories:

Bags- For a woman, a bag or a Handbag is her biggest accessory. We women need it for dumping our world in it. Right? So carrying a right size of bag is essential. A Tote bag works great as it’s large, you can choose from among various and colours and sizes from the range. Satchel bags are also good to carry. Mainly opt for neutral or pastel colours like Beige, Peach, powder blue, mint.

Scarves: You can also work in with multicoloured scarves if you like, as it changes the look instantly. Take a matching scarf and wrap it around your neck (style it) e.g. if you are wearing a shirt and a long flared skirt. Scarves these days also come along with cute little tassels attached to it and that looks really cool.

Shoes: Try to wear what you are really comfortable in. Those long hours at work may give your legs a bad pain. Flats are always a great option. Block heels, wedges and pumps also do look great when paired with the right outfit.

  • Make-up: Please keep it really really subtle girls. A loud make-up is a big No No. You are at your work place and you don’t want to end up being the topic of the day among your colleagues, Right? Nobody likes a loud make-up at office as it gives you unnecessary attention at work.

                 1) Use light make-up, Go for CC/BB creams instead of foundations.

                 2) Do your kajal and eyeliner with light strokes.

                 3) You can go for a little blushed cheek.

                 4) No bright lips but a nude and light pink lips are really fine.
